β€œThe information era created a breakthrough in expanding our knowledge, connectivity, and world views. As a result, the global village starts to assimilate and integrate. Discrimination and conflict happen when we lack the understanding of each other, whether being romantic relationships, family affairs, business collaborations, or cultural exchanges. With access to digital information and physical traveling, we start to learn, adapt, and appreciate the differences and otherness, then synthesize all pieces together for a yet-to-coming global culture. I always see human history as a pendulum that swings from divergence to convergence and on and on. After the global pandemics Covid-19, we found unprecedented empathy and connectivity, which can cultivate a new global culture. We might have different backgrounds, colors of skins, languages, and codes of conduct; but as one species, we share one universal consciousness that is beyond all discrepancies. I am interested in the interconnectedness and relationships of all the different ingredients. Trends come and go transiently, I believe in a more perpetual and deeper universal visual language that can resonate with everyone regardless of their differences. As an artist and industrial designer, my mission is to search for the human innate aspiration and desire through universal design to bring both fundamental functionality and a shared aesthetics.”
