“Culture is created by a societal group, those who control the society will control its culture. I know that humans are more than just shades of melanin or what some would call “color.” Color is a non representation of a culture in the eyes of the law. My sculpture represents the observer self of every human being out there in the world. It represents the shell that houses the soul. As I thought about the idea, I decided to focus on the factors of human existence as a whole. The conclusion was that none of us are separate. We live in a shell that is the body, all of us experience life differently, but experience is felt the same way by all. This is the experience of being an observer inside a body experiencing life in a personal; first point view. No one has YOUR memories, or experiences. The sequence of these experiences is what makes us unique. It is what has brought you to this point in your life. Tapping into our body and activating the proper energies, using our self awareness to change our actions. Focusing on the depth of problems and not just look at the surface of "color" to make a decision or judgement.”
